2. General

This website is purely a presentation site: no user accounts, no newsletter, no shop. Personal data is processed only where technically necessary or where you actively provide it. All transmission is encrypted (SSL/TLS).

3. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by STRATO AG, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany; the servers are located in Germany. When you visit the site, the server automatically processes technically necessary data (including IP address, date and time of access, requested file, volume of data transferred, browser type and operating system) in server log files. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure and stable operation). A data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR) is in place with STRATO.

4. Image delivery (content delivery network)

Images on this website are delivered via the content delivery network of Sanity (Sanity AS, Oslo, Norway; cdn.sanity.io). Your device's IP address is transmitted to the CDN operator, as the images could not be displayed otherwise. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in fast and reliable content delivery). Norway is part of the European Economic Area, so an adequate level of data protection is ensured.

5. Fonts

All fonts are served locally from our own server. There is no connection to external font providers, in particular not to Google Fonts.

6. Contact form and email

If you use the contact form, the data you provide (name, email address, subject and message) is processed exclusively to handle your enquiry and sent to us by email via STRATO's mail server. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (handling your enquiry) or Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in replying). The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required and no statutory retention obligations apply.

7. Cookies and consent

On your first visit, a banner asks whether you allow the use of Google Analytics. Your choice is stored locally in your browser (localStorage) so the banner does not reappear on every visit; this storage is technically necessary (§ 25 (2) TDDDG, German law). Without your consent, no analytics cookies are set. You can change your choice at any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.

8. Google Analytics and Google Search Console

With your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, § 25 (1) TDDDG), this website uses Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to analyse how the website is used. In Google Analytics 4, IP addresses are truncated at collection and are not stored. Data may be transferred to the USA; Google LLC is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Consent is voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future via “Cookie settings” in the footer. Without consent, Google Analytics is not loaded.

To monitor how the website appears in Google Search, this website also uses Google Search Console (Google Ireland Limited). Search Console does not set cookies on this website and does not collect any data from its visitors; it merely shows, in aggregated form, the search queries for which the website appears in Google Search and how often it is clicked. This data arises from the use of Google Search itself.

9. External content (YouTube)

Embedded videos are only loaded when you actively click the play area (two-click solution, enhanced privacy mode via youtube-nocookie.com). Only then is data (including your IP address) transmitted to Google Ireland Limited. The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR.

10. Social media profiles

This website contains links to external profiles on social networks (e.g. Instagram or YouTube).

These links are designed as ordinary external references. Personal data is only transmitted to the respective platforms when you actively click the link in question and visit that website.

The operators of the linked platforms are solely responsible for the data processing there. Their published privacy policies apply.

11. Storage period

Personal data is stored only for as long as required for the respective processing purposes or by statutory retention obligations. Once the purpose ceases to apply or the statutory periods expire, the data is deleted.

12. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection (Art. 21). You may withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR); the competent authority is the one at your place of residence or the place of the alleged infringement. To exercise your rights, an informal message to the email address given above is sufficient.

13. Changes to this policy

This privacy policy will be updated whenever the content of the website or the services used change. The version published here applies.
