About

What is jahdara?

jahdara is a digital studio and a long-term artistic author identity.

It brings together graphic novels, drawings, essays, and other works within a shared artistic context. They are connected by a common design philosophy and artistic attitude that runs through every project.

Rather than focusing on the development of individual works, jahdara is dedicated to building a coherent body of work over time. Each medium offers its own way of exploring perception, form, and meaning.

Artistic Philosophy

I do not see art as a means of representing reality, but as a way of exploring it.

What interests me is not primarily the visible itself, but the structures, relationships, and experiences from which the visible emerges.

My work grows from the intersection of illustration, architecture, philosophy, and literature. I do not regard these as separate disciplines, but as different expressions of the same fundamental question:

How is reality experienced—and how can art deepen that experience while revealing the hidden structures from which it arises?

Each work creates a space for experience in which meaning is not predetermined, but emerges through the encounter between the work and its viewer.

Working Method

For me, form possesses its own language.

My work is built primarily through black and white as two opposing poles—and through the tensions, transitions, and nuances that arise between them. Visual impact is created not through colour, but through construction, composition, scale, space, and the interplay between positive and negative form.

Every work evolves through an ongoing investigation of form, perception, and atmosphere. The goal is not to explain an idea as completely as possible, but to create an experiential space in which that idea can be encountered.

The Person Behind jahdara

Behind jahdara is Philipp Alexander Madara Wango.

As an architect, illustrator, artist, and author, he combines spatial thinking, visual design, and philosophical inquiry into a unified artistic practice.

His current major work is the graphic novel eL¡jaH Revelation.

Every work opens a space. The true work of art emerges in the encounter.
