General Definition

A Work is the result of a deliberate creative, artistic, scientific, or craft-based process. In the arts, the term refers both to individual creations and to coherent bodies of work. A Work possesses its own form, internal coherence, and the capacity to convey meaning beyond the mere fact of its production.

Meaning within jahdara

A Work is, within jahdara, not the end of a creative process but its visible crystallization.

Its purpose is not to communicate a single fixed message or enforce one definitive interpretation. Instead, it opens an experiential space in which perception, memory, and meaning emerge through the dialogue between the Work and the viewer.

Every Work is an expression of the same authorial identity while simultaneously serving as an independent exploration of a philosophical question. Drawings, Graphic Novels, essays, and other works differ in medium, but not in their underlying attitude.

A Work therefore has no isolated value. It always exists in relationship to other works, developing earlier ideas while preparing future ones. Together, they form a coherent body of work that unfolds over many years.
